Cue the spotlight…
In 2026, we’re rolling out the red carpet—not for the usual Hollywood elite, but for something far more powerful: authentic, untamed, and inclusive storytelling. Welcome to the Sonic Light Film Festival —a one-of-a-kind celebration of creativity from individuals on the autism spectrum, those with special needs, and artists who simply need a safe, affordable space to shine.
What’s It All About?
We’re not your average film fest. We’re flipping the script and making room for new voices—voices that are too often left out of the mainstream conversation. This November, we’re creating a community screening event that blends movie magic with purpose.
Presented by Sonic Light Productions, this festival is our way of saying, “We’re back!” After closing our creative space in Van Nuys due to the pandemic, we’re gearing up for our grand return—and this film festival is our first step back into the spotlight.
Why It Matters
Sonic Light was never just a studio—it was (and will be again!) a movement. A creative haven where stories are told without limits. A place built by co-founders Leticia Chavez, actor Benjamin Onyango, and Ezequiel Chavez, for Eric Chavez and others on the spectrum—and for anyone who’s ever felt overlooked in traditional film and music spaces.
This festival is more than a screening—it’s a stage for brilliance in all its forms.
Entry with Heart: The Toy Drive
Want to join us? Bring a smile! Entry to the festival is simple: bring a new, unwrapped toy valued at $15 or more. All toys will go to support single-parent families with children on the spectrum or with special needs. It’s creativity with a cause—and a little holiday cheer sprinkled in.
