About Us
A Creative Home for Every Voice
Sonic Light Productions is a purpose-driven creative studio founded by Leticia Chavez, Hollywood actor Benjamin Onyango (God’s Not Dead, Tears of the Sun, Beautifully Broken), and Ezequiel Chavez, in honor of Leticia’s son Eric Chavez, a talented young man on the autism spectrum.
Launched in Van Nuys, California in 2016, Sonic Light was built as a safe, inclusive space where individuals with special needs, neurodivergent creatives, and those working with limited budgets could access the tools, mentorship, and support needed to tell their stories through film, music, and multimedia expression.
We operated successfully until 2021, when the pandemic forced us to close our doors. But the vision never died.
Now, we’re thrilled to announce that Sonic Light is making a comeback—step by step. While our full studio relaunch is still a work in progress, we’re laying the foundation with the Brilliant Minds, Bold Stories Film Festival in November 2025—a powerful celebration of inclusive storytelling by underrepresented creatives. As part of our return, we are actively seeking a new home for Sonic Light Productions where creativity, community, and accessibility can flourish.
Our goal is to reopen in 2026 as a revitalized creative hub where artists of all abilities and backgrounds can thrive.
